   Obituary
   Paul Allen Kiel [42613:M] husband, father and grandfather who was affectionately called Opa passed away Tuesday March 4, 2014 from a long hard fought battle with Parkinson's disease.
   He was born in Houston,Texas on September 12, 1935 to the late Walter and Barbara Kiel. Paul also was preceded in death by his older brother Walter Kiel Jr, who he greatly admired.
   He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years who he adored Molly Elaine [Scroggins] Kiel [42614:M]. Sons Greg [52988:M] and his wife Dianna [52990:M], Kenneth [34702:M], Jeff [52989:M] and his wife Sharon 52991:M. He is also survived by 7 beloved grandchildren who made him proud every day. In addition his brother and sister in-law Jim [52987:M] and Alta [52992:M] Scroggins, his nephew and niece David and Brenda Kiel were a big part of his life.
   Paul grew up in West University and was a graduate from Lamar High School. He later went on to the University of Houston where he earned a degree in Architecture. He was active at Grace Lutheran church growing up. During his life he was a sea scout, electrician journeyman with Fisk Electric and boy scout leader. He was an architect for over 45 years with CRSS, HOK, and Jacobs Engineering working on projects from coast to coast, all over Houston and through out the Middle East.
   He will be remembered for his love of life. His meticulous detail and passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and family.
   He had a passion for good food and good times with an eagerness to explore new cultures.
   I have fought the good fight.
   I have finished the race.
   I have kept the faith.
