William and Mary PARR

(née WISSON)

William PARR was born to John & Mary PARR. He was bp. on 11 Aug 1743, at Burnham Deepdale.

William died on 12 Jun 1823 and was buried at Burnham Overy churchyard, Norfolk. (gravestone still visible).

Mary WISSON was born at Brancaster to Thomas & Mary W(H)ISSON in 1744.

Mary died on 10 Dec 1826 and was buried at Burnham Overy churchyard. (gravestone still visible).

They married

Thomas bp. 20 Mar 1767, Burnham Deepdale.
Thomas bp. 2 Jan 1769, Burnham Deepdale. Married twice: Susan(nah) COMAN in 1802 in Coltishall, and Anne WOODGET in 1818 in Burnham Overy. He had at least 2 children. With Susan(nah) he had Mary Rebekah(bp. Wells 1807), and with Anne, he had Theresa (bp.1819, Brancaster). Mary Rebekah married John STOKER in 1830 and they lived in Essex.
William bp. 22 May 1768,Burnham Deepdale. He married Ann RAWSTON in 1787. Click here for more about their family.
Elizabeth bp. 24 Nov 1770, Burnham Deepdale.
Mary
bp. 25 Jan 1779, Burnham Deepdale. Died on 29 Mar 1865 aged 86. Unmarried. In 1861, she was aged 83, independent, living in Brancaster. Not to be found in 1851 though.
Christian bp. 2 Apr 1780, Burnham Deepdale. Married Thomas DAWSON (pilot). In 1841 is aged 60, living in B. Overy. John STOKER(nephew) is living with her & Thomas.(The rest of the STOKERs are in Essex-see above) At least one son, James b. 1809, Burnham Overy.

On 10th Sept 2006, the first PARR family reunion was held at the Lord Nelson PH in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk.
