| ARRIVAL OF THE ‘CASHMERE’ | |||||||
| The ship ‘Cashmere', Captain Petherbridge, arrived in this harbour on Sunday night, after a passage of 113 days from | |||||||
| the Downs. The passage was uneventful, fine weather being experienced almost throughout. She brings a large general | |||||||
| general cargo, the manifest of which we published on the 1st April, besides about 90 passengers. An interesting | |||||||
| addition is made to the imported birds of the colony by the ‘Cashmere,’ which has on board a number of black-birds, | |||||||
| linnets, thrushes, skylarks, several varieties of duck, mallard, and varieties of geese. About one-one-third the number | |||||||
| died on the passage. The ‘Cashmere’ is trim and clean; and the passengers appear healthy and satisfied. | |||||||
