The CORINTHIC departed London on 4 June 1903 and arrived in Wellington via Capetown and Hobart, on 21 July 1903. Captain Inman Sealby was in command.

THE CORINTHIC, FROM LONDON.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Corinthic arrived this morning from London via Cape Town and Hobart. As no communication was held with the shore at Tasmania and all on board were well, the Port Health Officer, Dr Pollen, allowed the ship to be berthed. She left London on the 4th June, and had an exceptionally fine weather trip throughout. Following is a list of passengers

 

First saloon:

 

Auckland — Miss Campbell, Mrs. Campbell, Mr. Campbell

Gisborne — Miss Mansfield

Second saloon:

Auckland — Miss Schultze, Mr. Knight

Napier — Miss Gregson

New Plymouth — Misses McDonald (2), Mrs. McDonald

Wanganui — Miss Hoskins, Rev Compton, Mr. Willis

Wellington — Miss Smyth, Nurse Rawlings, Miss Inman, Messrs Birch, Inman, Piggin

Nelson — Mr. Fitzgerald

Lyttelton — Mrs. Turtle. Mr. Newby, Master Turtle

Port Chalmers — Mrs. Mayo, Master Mayo

 

There are 73 third-class passenger for New Zealand ports.

 

There are3030 tons of cargo to land here.

 

Captain Inman Sealby, R.N.R., is still in com­mand, and the only changes in the list of officers are that Mr. W. Hug, formerly of the Delphic, is chief officer, and Mr. R. J. Large, formerly of the Ionic, is purser.
