The STAR OF THE EAST departed London on 8 March, 1882 and arrived in Wellington on 16 June, 1882. Captain Balmanno was in command.

ARRIVAL OF THE BARQUE STAR OF THE EAST, FROM LONDON.

 

The barque Star of the East, 793 tons, Captain Balmanno, was signalled early this morning, and was beating in this afternoon. She is under charter to the N.Z. S. Company, and brings several steerage passengers. She is reported as having left London on the 8th March.
