David and Adeline Cunningham's

Inventory and Estate Settlement

Chancery Court Records of Monroe County, TN

transcribed 1985 by Sandra (Nipper) Ratledge, great-great-great-great-granddaughter of David Cunningham,
from microfilmed records housed in the Sweetwater Public Library, reel # 20, book D, pp. 259-262, 308, 415-421, 435

NOTE: Question marks appear beside illegible words below. A guess as to the possible intended term is provided in brackets. My parents, Tommy and Beulah (Cline) Nipper, helped me a great deal to decipher and understand many of these old-fashioned words. We enjoyed several hours of discussing names and uses of the various items listed. Buyers are listed followed by the auctioned item, and then last is the price paid. Names of purchasers have not been alphabetized but remain in the original order as listed in the sale. The order below indicates the probable order in which items were introduced at the auction.
