And Admion of all and singular the goods (sic) of the said deced or any way concerning the valid Will was and is granted to William Stevens of same parish the son of deced and Sole Executor named in the said Will.

In the Name of God, Amen.

I, John Stevens, of the Parish of St. Erth in the County of Cornwall, Farmer, being sick and weak in body but of a sound and perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, therefore call unto mind the mortality of any body and knowing its is appointed unto all men once to die. Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator in a through the alone merits of Jesus Christ my Redeemer. And my body to the Earth to be Buried with a desent and Christian Like Burial. And do make my last Will and Testament and as touching such worldly effects wherewith God has been pleased to blefs me with in this Life. I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form:

First, I give unto Mary Stevens, my daughter in law, give pounds to be paid within twelve months after my decease;

Also, 2, I give unto John Stevens and Samuel Stevens, my grandchildren five pounds each to be paid as above;

Also, I give unto Prudence Stevens, Mary Stevens, William Stevens, George Stevens and James Stevens, my grandchildren, two shillings and six pence each, paid as above;

Also, I give unto Prudence Trevaskis, my daughter, twenty pounds, to be paid when her husband shall begin to build a house or purchase the same, provided if Henry Trevaskis her husband chance to die, before such purchase was made or house begun to build the said Prudence Trevaskis is to receive the above sum of twenty pounds;

Also, I give unto Henry Trevaskis and Samuel Trevaskis, my grandchildren, give pounds each, to be paid within twelve months after my decease;

Also, I give unto Henry Trevaskis my grandchild, my watch and silver shoe buckles to be delivered to him within twelve months after my decease;

All the rest residue and remainder of my estate goods, chattles and effects of what nature and kind so ever, I give unto William Stevens, my son in the Parish of St. Erth, wheresoever situate and being whom I make and ordain my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament, he paying all my just debts and legacies, to be by him enjoyed after my decease, and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disanul all other Wills, bequeaths and Executors by me in anyways before named willed or bequeathed. Ratifying and confirming this and no other, to be my last will and testament.

In witnefs hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twelve.

Signed, sealed and delivered, published and declared by the said John Stevens to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us who have set our names as Witnefres in the presence of the said testator and at his Request.

William Short, Clerk, Doctor in Divinity, Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Cornwall, lawfully constituted, To our beloved in Christ, the Reverend John Peter and William Hockin, the younger, Clerks. Greeting. We hereby commit and impart to you, jointly and severally, our Power and Authority to administer, in due form of Law, the Canonical Oath subscribed to William Stevens, the natural and lawful son and executor named in the last Will and Testament of John Stevens late of the Parish of Saint Erth within our said Archdeaconry, deceased. And what you shall do herein, you shall duly certify us, or some other competent Judge in this Behalf, so soon as you can conveniently, together with these Presents. GIVEN under the Seal of our Office, the twenty second day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twelve.

TENOR of the OATH

You shall swear that the Paper Writing hereto annexed, contains the true Original last Will and Testament of John Stevens, late of the parish of St. Erth, your late father, deceased, so far as you know or believe; that you will well and truly perform the Contents thereof, and pay first the Debts of the said deceased, and then the Legacies contained in the said Will, so far as the Goods, Chattles, and Credits of the said deceased with thereto extend, and the Law charge you. And that you will exhibit, or cause to be exhibited, into the Office of the Registry of the Archdeaconry Court of Cornwall, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattles, and Credits of the said deceased, which already have, or hereafter shall come to you Hands, Possession, or Knowledge, and yield and pass a true and just Account thereof, when thereunto lawfully required.
