Lacey & Ruby (Steward) Darland

Lacey Otto Darland was born on February 6, 1888. He was the son of Newton J. Darland and Addie Riggs. His marriage was to Ethel Aurand. His second marriage was to Ruby Agnes Steward on the 22nd of October, 1925. Ruby Agnes Steward was born on January 18, 1893, the youngest daughter of Marcus J. Steward and Matilda C. Clifford. She grew to womanhood on the old Steward homestead, then her mother sold the farm and moved to Marshalltown, later and after her mother's death, Ruby attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for two years. After Lacey and Ruby's marriage, they lived in Montezuma, Iowa for a few years, later they moved to a farm not far from Montezuma, where they had a very pleasant home.

Children of Lacey and Ruby Darland:
Donivan Darland B-December 12, 1927, but died shortly after his birth.
Estel Lavelle Darland B-March 3, 1928 in Montezuma, Iowa
