Eliphalet & Elizabeth Steward

Eliphalet Steward was the eighth child of Lieut. William and Sarah Steward. Eliphalet was born on November 10, 1729, in Stonington, Connecticut and was married on March 1, 1755 to Elizabeth (last name not known). Eliphalet and his two brothers namely, Phineas and Lemuel were deeded a certain undivided lot, which was their father’s, and which was received by will, the witnesses being Oliver Steward and Joseph York. Eliphalet also received on February 8, 1771 a quit claim deed from Martha McMillan to 40 acres of land in Stonington Connecticut, witnessed by Abigail York and Charles Phelps.
