Know all men by these
presents that I,
Alexander Fancher of the County of Carroll and the State of Arkansas, do hereby constitute
and appoint James Fancher of the said county of Carroll and state of Arkansas as my true
and lawful attorney to do and perform all such matters and things as full as I could do if
I were present and do hereby further authorize my said attorney to incur and receipt for
me and in name all the money that I am entitled to from the state of Arkansas for my
services as a private in Captain Wm. C. Mitchell Company of volunteers as authorized by
the governor of the state of Arkansas in quelling an insurrection in the county of Marion
in said state of Arkansas and was mustered into service at Wm. Bellers on Crooked Creek in
said county of Carroll, on the 30th day of September, 1849.
