Descendants of Isaac Salls & Hannah Hawley
Isaac Salls was born about 1730, birthplace unknown. He and his wife Mary show
up initially in Salisbury, Litchfield Co, Connecticut about 1756. It is not known
where they were before that year.
The family removed from Connecticut to Columbia County, New York probably about
1760-61, and lived in New Canaan. It appears they moved northward to Quebec about
1781 or 1782. The family settled quickly into life in Clarenceville, Quebec.
This is a but a glimpse into his family. Anyone having any information on
this family, please contact me. I would love to firm up dates, correct any errors
in my database...
