Introduction

The origin of this site began with the birth of my son, Zachary Michael, on April 6, 1999. On my father's first visit after Zachary's birth, he presented me with an ENORMOUS package of genealogical data. After all, it was now incumbent upon me to pass the history of our family to my son. Dad is, of course, correct (Although this is always difficult for a son to admit, particularly a first son). Being a child of the computer era, I immediately sought a means to assemble the information into a database that could be easily accessed and shared with the rest of my family. I soon located the appropriate software to assemble this information, and luckily, it also was capable of generating the web site that is presented here (see the bottom of this page for further details). Finally, I must acknowledge that this data is the cumulative work of many individuals over the decades. Of course, none of this would have happened without my Father's nudge. Thanks, Dad!

This web site is, and always will be, under construction. However, I've tried to make this site as accurate and up-to-date as possible. I have endeavored to give proper attribution for the information on this site, so you can judge for yourself the accuracy of the source. Your input is always welcome (see contact hyperlink for my e-mail address). I have a particular affinity for photographs and anecdotes. I encourage you to contact me with your favorite stories about our family.
