From the Trice book by Olive Lynn Trice:

“In 1786 Creek Indians robbed the home of John Trice on Fishing Creek and burned his house to the ground.  Later in a claim filed with the US government, two of John's daughters, Frances and Tabitha, stated that the family fled from their home and plantation though they did not indicate where they went.”

John Trice, Sr. is repeatedly referred to as “Dr. Trice”.
