George and Mary were married 7 Feb 1805 in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire England. Their 6 child were all born in Leicestershire. About 1829 they all came to Canada and settled in Vaughan Township, near Toronto Ontario.
Sons William and George Jr. purchased land near Kleinburg. William later sold out to George. George built a house on the land by making the bricks all by hand. This house is still standing as of 5 Jul 2002.
George Jr. married Elizabeth Tyler about 1831. They had 10 children. Elizabeth died in 1852. On 11 Nov 1852 George remarried to Lucy Devins for whom this was also a second marriage. Lucy had been married to David Conant. Lucy and George had 2 children.
The second child of George and Elizabeth was John, born 28 May 1834 in Vaughan Township. John married Nancy Jane Ellis in 1855. They had 4 children. Some time before 1860 they move to Sombra Township Lambton Co. where the last two were born.
The second child of John and Nancy, John Edgar, was born in 1858. John Edgar and Mary Jane Baxter were married 25 Aug. 1886 in Sombra Township Lambton Co. John and Mary had 10 children.
Magaret, the first born of John and Mary was born 6 May 1888. Maggie married William Henry on 22 Dec 1909. Maggie and William had 5 children. Their youngest Albert was born 18 Mar 1926.
Albert married Eileen Martin 2 Aug. 1952. The oldest of their 3 children William, is me.
