This is a home for all Kirkhams-- no matter how you spell your name   While this website has its origin in the United States, and currently we don't have any information on our Australian, Canadian, or British Cousins, we welcome participation from the world over.

If you're just looking right now, scroll down to the Various Data Bases and search for your ancestor. Some things to remember before you start your search, though: This ISN'T a "Kirkham Descendant" data base per sae. It only has individuals with the Kirkham surname. For example, if John Kirkham marries Jane Doe, then all known information on Jane is listed, along with all of their children. However, if daughter Sarah Doe Kirkham marries Will Smith, then only their marriage information is listed, NOT their children. Look for a Smith Data Base for that information. Speaking of which, if you know of a collateral line data base, please let us know - we can zap in a link to it, and save everyone some time and resources!

If you can't find who or what you 're looking for, there are a few things to consider: Remember, the names are entered here as they were encountered - 'Rhoda Jane Kirkham' may be found under just 'Jane' or 'R.J.' or 'Rhoda Kirkum'. Be as creative in YOUR spelling as the record takers were.... also, in order to respect the privacy of the living, no information on individuals born after 1900 is accepted or listed, unless there is also information indicating that individual's death. I recommend using the "search this site" option. For example, your John Kirkham's birth, death & marriage information MAY be on the Bible page or perhaps on the Bio page.

Hopefully, you will have many choices. Choose a document and click on it - you will be taken directly to it.   To return, use the "BACK" button on your web browser.  Try it!  You'll like it! Personally, I think this is the easiest way to find someone or something. It can get a little confusing searching through all of the pages.

The idea is to save the researcher time in looking up this data. So many of us are repeating endless steps that others have already taken. Let us put our efforts in finding those facts we do not already know, and share what we have with the world.
