Wenz Family Photographs

This website is dedicated to Aunt Hattie, who might have been forgotten if we didn't have her beautiful photograph or delicious recipe for hermits.

Our Wenz family is descended from a German immigrant, Philip Henry Wenz, who arrived in New York City in 1846. In 1870 he moved with his family to Passaic, NJ. His children lived in Bergen and Passaic counties in NJ, and in Boston, Dedham, Worcester and Shrewsbury, MA.

Philip's son Edward Gustav Adolph married Grace Eugenie Vautrinot in Dedham, MA. The Vautrinots arrived from France in Boston in 1855. Part of the family moved to Egg Harbor City, NJ and part remained in Dedham, MA.
