Abneys of Jasper County Mississippi

This site is devoted to the History of the Jasper County Mississippi Abney family, descendants of Robert Releford Abney(1810-1875) and his wife, Mary Ann Roberts Abney(1812-1880). Robert R. was born in Maury County Tennessee and migrated to Mississippi with his family to Hinds County Mississippi. There he met and married Mary Ann Roberts, who was born and raised on the adjoining Roberts Farm in the Champion Hill area of Hinds County.
