Daniel McElhannon, age 65, of Ellenwood, died March 14, 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Linda McElhannon; daughter, Jennifer McElhannon, Ellenwood; sons, Christopher McElhannon and wife Jennifer, McDonouh, Charles Abna, Jackson, Matthew McElhannon, Stockbridge and Joshua McElhannon, Stockbridge; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sister, Ann Thomas, Stockbridge; brother, Bill McElhannon and wife Linda, Rex; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends this evening from 5-9 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, Fairview Chapel, Stockbridge. (770) 474-1231.

Abney, Mr. Dave, age 76, of Watson, Ala, passed away Thursday p.m. at a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Abney; 2 sons, George Abney and Paul Abney, both of Watson; 1 daughter, Mrs. Estelle Alford of Watson; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, G. W. Abney, Sr. of Watson, and Arnold Abney of Forestdale; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Fuller. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m. from the Friendship Methodist Church of Morris. Interment in the adjoinging cemetery, the Rev. Hoyle Guthrie and the Rev. George Canoles officiating. Active pallbearers, Barry Moore, Errol Ray Burr, Jerry Abney, Charlie Skelton, Ray Brake, and Douglas Goodwin. Bell directing.

Funeral service for Delma Mercer Abney, 78, Oklahoma City will be conducted at 2 p.m. Jan 6, at the Pickard Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jess Spurlock will officiate.
Burial will be held at the Abney Cemetery in Stratford under the directions of Pickard Funeral Home.
Abney was born on March 29, 1916 in Pilot Point, Texas to L.W. & Lillie Chapman Mercer. She died Tuesday JAn 3, 1995 at the Four Season's Nursing Center in Oklahoma City.
Abney lived her life in Oklahoma City. She married Vernon Abney in Ada on Feb 14, 1936. She was a housewife and a member of the S. W. Friendship Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Abney was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon on OCt 21, 1981.
Survivors include three daughters, Lillian Tuley of Moore, Irene Carey of Lewisville, Texas and Kathy Maize of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Ishmel Mercer, Floyd Mercer, John Mercer, and Everett Mercer, all of Stratford; three sisters, Katie Abney of Arkansas, June Bragg of Texas and Evelyn Burris of Tempe, Arizona; and five grandchildren.
Donald Eugene Abna, 74, Fayetteville, died Oct. 31, 2002. He was born Sept. 2, 1928 in East Point, Fulton County, Ga. He was a member of the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge F&AM #711. Graveside services were at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, with the Rev. David Paul officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann S. Abna, Fayetteville; a son, Joel Abna , Sharpsburg; daughters, Melissa Abna, Fayetteville, and Beth Paul, Macon; and grandchildren, Darryl Paul and Hannah Paul. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
Mr. Donnie Abney died on January 7, 2006. He was born on October 19, 1956. He is survived by his wife Nancy Abney; children, Kristine Day, Heather Abney, Jason Abney and Donnie Abney, Jr.; brothers, Jack Butler and Malcom Booher; and his sister, Brenda Anderson and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday January 10, 2007 with services at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 11 at Flanner & Buchanan West Morris St. Funeral Center. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery.
