Pamela Renee Abner, 25, of Crescent Springs is survived by her fiance, Brian Mullins of Elsmere; her mother, Beverly Gunkel Abner of Florence; her father, William "Bill" Abner of Walton; her stepmother, Teresa C. Abner of Walton; sisters Bridget Abner of Fort Mitchell and Teresa M. Abner of Crescent Springs; a stepsister, Brittany Tooson of Walton.

Pamela Renee Abner, 25, of Crescent Springs died Wednesday, April 6, 2006. Survivors include her fiance, Brian Mullins of Elsmere; her mother, Beverly Gunkel Abner of Florence; her father, William "Bill" Abner of Walton; her stepmother, Teresa C. Abner of Walton; sisters Bridget Abner of Fort Mitchell and Teresa M. Abner of Crescent Springs; a stepsister, Brittany Tooson of Walton; her paternal grandmother, Mary Abner of Covington; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Ella Gunkel of Taylor Mill; a special nephew, Preston Abner of Fort Mitchell; a special aunt, Kim Fulmer of Independence; and aunts, uncles and cousins. Allison & Rose Funeral Home in Taylor Mill was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Northern Kentucky Unit, or American Heart Association.

CRESCENT SPRINGS - Pamela Renee Abner, 25, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood. She was a processor for Fidelity Investments, Taylor Mill. Survivors include her fianc� Brian Mullins; mother, Beverly Gunkel Abner; father, William Abner; stepmother, Teresa C. Abner; sisters, Bridget and Teresa M. Abner; stepsister Brittany Tooson; paternal grandmother, Mary Abner; and maternal grandparents, Earl and Ella Gunkel. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday and service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials: American Cancer Society, Northern Kentucky Unit, Nicholas Center, Suite A-2, 6612 Dixie Hwy., Florence, KY 41042; or American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Patricia Jane Vinassa Abney
1921 - 2002. Patricia Jane Vinassa Abney died at her home in Fortuna, California on Saturday, November 23. Born of Irish immigrants in 1921 in Homestead, PA near Pittsburgh, she came to San Francisco in 1952 with her sister Mary Mannion. Patricia taught at Cappuchino High School in Burlingame for several years, met and married Sylvio Vinassa in 1955 and moved to San Jose. There she became active in their church, St. Martins, where she took to organizing the parish office and keeping the priests in line earning the title ""Pope's Secretary' from her husband.

Patricia was widowed in 1983. A few years later she met Phil playing bridge with a group. Later Phil worked up his nerve and asked if he could follow her home. She said yes. This decision lead to their marriage on November 26, 1989 at St. Martins. Together they traveled, danced and golfed. Patricia won many golfing trophies and scored a hole-in-one. She loved music, played the organ and gave lessons. Pat constantly sang and hummed throughout the house. She volunteered at the hospital for many years and soon had Phil involved. Phil and Patricia attended Abney family reunions from Oklahoma and Canada. She will be greatly missed. Pat and Phil moved to Fortuna 14 months ago to be closer to family. Patricia's health had been failing since her dear sister, Mary died several years ago. Pat died peacefully in her sleep. God Rest Her Soul.

Pat was preceded in death by her sister Mary and brother William Mannion. She is survived by her loving husband Phil, his daughter Karen and her family, her niece and nephews and their children, and her sister-in-law Julia Mannion. Friends are invited to attend Services on Saturday, 11/30/02 at 9:00 a.m. at LIMA FAMILY SANTA CLARA MORTUARY, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, then to St. Martin of Tours Church, 200 O'Connor Drive, San Jose, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

Pearl Abney

Pearl Abney, 75, of 264 Ridgeway Drive, died at 8:05PM Wednesday at the Clark County Hospital after a long illness.

He was a native of Powell County, a son of the late Clem and Allie Abner Abney, a retired Sylvania employee and a member of the Ruckerville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edith Drake Abney; a daughter, Mrs. Evadna Wilcox, Clark County; six grandchildren Larry and Danny Abney, Mrs. Linda Saylor, Billy Ray, Ronnie and Terry Wilcox, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30PM Friday at the Scobee Funeral Home by Marvin Ringer. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ellis Abner, Ivan Psimer, Andrew Lloyd, Jimmy Woosley, and Donnie and Doug Shepard.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9PM today.

Peter Columbus Abney

From The Birmingham News, April 2, 1954: Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday for Peter Columbus Abney, 76, Sayreton, who died in a Birmingham hospital Thursday. The Rev. W. D. Peoples and the Rev. Robert Gowings will officiate at the Friendship Methodist Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brown-Service of Norwood directing. Mr. Abney is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Rockett and Mrs. Lillie Mae Green; four sons, George, J. Vernie, and Clarence Abney, all of Birmingham, and Hubert Abney of Sumiton; two brothers, Bill Abney of Dallas, Tex., and Jim Abney of Birmingham; a sister Isa Jane Stewart, Birmingham; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Paul Robbins, Gurley Robbins, Charles Belton, John and Gordon Abney.

Plez Abney

ODESSA -- Plez C. Abney died Saturday, April 23. Burial was Monday, April 25 in Chillicothe.
He was born June 6, 1925, in Wynnewood, Okla. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was employed as an auto mechanic until his retirement. He was employed with the Sewell Motor Co., Chaparral Race Cars, Broncho Chevrolet and Midland Paint and Body. Survivors include his wife, Nelda Thomas Abney of Odessa; daughter, Gayle Watkins of Odessa; son, Gary Abney of Odessa; sister, Altha Peterson of Odessa; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Archie Abney of Midland; and cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial fund in his name has been established at Bank of America, 700 N. Grant. Published in the Midland Reporter-Telegram on 5/5/2005.
