Notes for JOHN G. BEASLEY: The 1880 Census of Barbour Co Alabama shows John and his wife Martha, living next door to their grandchildren. Their daughter, Bettie and her husband Daniel Beverly were not shown and most likely had died. John G. Beasley was shown as 89 years old and deaf. His wife Martha was 79 years old and had Dropsy.
Elizabeth wasshown as the oldest grandchild living. She was 29, born in 1851 and her sisters were, Katey, 21born 1859 and Callie 19 born 1861. John was listed as 27 born 1853 and a farmer. Many time the census taker would make mistakes or the transcriber would copy the information wrong. The 1870 Census shows John as 19, born 1851 and the same birth date is shown in the 1900 census.
