The Web-Site of  Ed Adams

Welcome to my family research. My search has led me from Hardin Co., TN to Lauderdale Co., AL, Williamson Co., TN and Rockingham Co., NC. I hope that there will be something that will be of some help to you and that you might be able to find a connection to your family. If so, please let me know. Also I welcome any corrections or comments.

Comments

I began my family research about twelve years ago. It has been the most frustrating but the most interesting project I have ever undertaken. Although, none of those ancestors, I am sure, were perfect, I have found none that I would be ashamed to call my family. Therefore, these pages are dedicated to those forefathers who struggled to carve out a place to provide for their families and to serve their God, their country and their fellow man.

Old Lebanon Cemetery

Book

The old Lebanon Cemetery, located on Hwy. 69 between Milledgeville and Saltillo, TN, has been platted out and the grave markers have been placed in a grid with a grid map showing their approximately location in the cemetery. This project only contains those graves contained in the old original section, the section that is bounded by Lebanon Cemetery Rd. and the drive around the cemetery. This project had been copied and bound in a book form containing over five hundred (500) grave markers, printed on thirty six (36) pages and printed on two sides. The book contains a list of grave markers with the names listed in alphabetical order as well as a list with the names in chronological order by grid and grave number. The book also contains a short history of the cemetery, photocopy of deeds, articles from the Savannah Courier, photographs and a list of others who have been reported as being buried in the cemetery but no grave marker now exist.

For those who are research their family history, this will give you a clue as who is buried near to your family member and a possibility of their relationship.

If you might be interested in a copy please contact me off the list at: [email protected].

I have access to most of the obituaries and some of the other articles that were published in The Savannah Courier (Hardin Co., TN) from June 1990-Dec. 2005. Below is an index of these obituaries and articles. If you do not have access to to these obituaries/articles and would like to have an e-mail copy, I will try to scan the individual obituary/articles and fill your request as MY TIME permits. If you would like a hard copy of the original, please send a SSAE. (I will give you my mailing address when you e-mail me). Also, when you request a copy of an obituary, please let me know how you connect to that person. I too connect to a lot of Hardin County people and I am trying to find all of my connections.
