THE WILL OF JOSEPH HESKINS

In the Name of God Amen.

I Joseph Heskins of the parish of Horsley in the County of Glocester Clothworker being of sound mind, memory and understanding do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say, First I give and bequeath unto my beloved children John Heskins and Elizabeth Wilkins all those my four leasehold Messuages Tenements Gardens and premises situate and being at Horsley aforesaid one of which is now in mine own possession another in the occupation of Mary Newth another in the occupation of Hannah Gill and the fourth in the occupation of Samuel Walkley in manner and form following that is to say this now in mine own possession and that in the occupation of Hannah Gill I give unto my son John Heskins and that in the occupation of Mary Newth and that which is in the occupation of Samuel Walkley I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Wilkins and the well before my house is to remain for the use of the four houses with the privy also. Also I give unto my son John Heskins all in the front of my house which is used as a garden up to Mary Newth�s doorway and down to the wall at the bottom and all other part of the gardens I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Wilkins and it is my will for all the premises to be delivered unto my children immediately after my decease according to the manner above specified but all the goods found in my house at the time of my decease I give unto my son John Heskins. I do hereby nominate and appoint Mr John Heskins Clothier of Nailsworth Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament in witness whereof I the said Joseph Heskins the Testator have to this my last will and testament contained in one sheet of paper sett my hand and seal this twentysixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventeen

Joseph Heskins Signed Sealed and published and declared by the above named Joseph Heskins the Testator as and for this last will and testament in the presence of us and also attested by us in the sight and presence and at the request of the Testator
