October 6, 1763

"In the name of God, Amen, the sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord One Thousand and seven hundred and sixty three, I, Hillebrand Inabenint in the county of Frederick in the Colony of Virginia, being sick and weak in body, thanks be given unto God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body, knowing it is appointed once for all men to dye, do make this; my last will and testament.

First of all I give my soul unto the hands of God and my body I recommend to the Earth and for my worldly estate I give and dispose in the following manner and form.

First of all it is my will that my just debts are to be paid and satisfied.

Item-I give my land and all my estate to be equally divided among my three children, Johh, Joseph and Jacob, and that as soon as they come of age, except my son John is to have ten pounds current money of Virginia more than my other two sons.

Item-I do make and ordain my loving friends Samuel Eckerlin and John Martin to be my only and sole executors of this last will and testament.

In witness whereby I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year aforesaid.

At court held for Frederick County the 4th day of June 1765, this last will and testament of Hillebrand Inaebenent deceased was produced in court by Samuel Ekerlin, one of the executors therein named who made oath thereto and same being proved by the oaths of George Keller and Valentine Brookman, two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Samuel who entered into and acknowledged bond with Woolrich Sobingn? his security in the penalty of five hundred pounds conditioned for his true and faithful administration of the said estate. Certificate is granted to him for obtaining a probate in due form.
