    IN THE SETTLEMENT OF THE ESTATE OF CLEMSON BROWN ; DESEASED IN THE ORPHANS' COURT FOR CECIL COUNTY, MARYLAND .

    I Lydia Ann Brown, widow of Clemson Brown, lately deceased; of Cecil County Maryland, do hereby renounce my right to administer upon the personal estate of the said Clemson Brown, deceased. and ask this court to appoint some one to administer in my stead . I would recommend the appointment of my son Webster Brown as administrator in my stead .

    STATE OF MARYLAND CECIL COUNTY SS: September 13 1887

    THEN CAME Webster Brown , Lombard Cecil Co Md Administrator of Clemson Brown late of Cecil county, Maryland deceased, and made oath in due form of Law that he would well and truly administer the goods, chattels, personal estate, and credits of said deceased, to the best of his knowledge, according to law, and give a just account of his administration, when thereunto lawfully called; also, that he would diligently and faithfully regard, and well and truly comply with the laws of Maryland, imposing a tax on commissions allowed to executors and administrators, and a tax on colateral inheritances, distributive shares and legacies.

    Then came Webster Brown Administrator of Clemson Brown deceased, and made oath in due form of law, that the aforegoing and annexed Inventory is a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels of the said deceased that had come to his hands or possession at the time of the making thereof.
