Cynthia was born October 1834 Ripley Co., Missouri. She married Lawrence McKeirnan Kerrick, Sr. January 6, 1853 Jobe Township, Oregon Co., Missouri. In 1853 this family moved to California.

- Cynthia Louise 'Sinthey' (Jobe) and husband, Lawrence McKeirnan Kerrick, Sr. - were married Jan 6, 1853 in Jobe Township, Oregon Co., Missouri. She was d/o Samuel Jobe and Margaret 'Peggy' Stubblefield and gd/o Isaac Jobe and ?. Isaac was s/o Samuel Jobe and Dorcas Mackay. Lawrence and Cynthia were members of a wagon train that left Missouri in early 1853 that traveled by way of the Overland Route and over the Emigrant Trail to Tuolumne Co., California. It was headed by James W. Kerrick, father of Lawrence. It was here that they build their new home, known as the Crimea House, and sometimes referred to as the Kentucky House. Daily Alta California - Oct 3, 1853, p. 2, Column 4 -published list of the various wagon trains upon the Walker River Emigrant Road as furnished by Roland's Express. Tenth in the long list was that of the Kerrick Party (spelled Carick) with the notation that it consisted of 9 wagons and 40 fouls with 150 head of cattle and plenty of provisions."
