*Note from Alan Sparks
Attached are the scans of the 1848 Moniteau County, Missouri tax list of the Job's. I had them copied at the courthouse in California yesterday. Interestingly, it is spelled Job on the list. The file labeled 1848moniteautax-pg2 has the column headings at the top to explain what each one means. The copy of the other page (which actually was the first page copied from the book & the Job's were at the bottom of the page) did not get the column headings.
Mary Job with 140 acres, 2 horses and 1 cattle. Original owner L. Job
John S. Job with no acres, 2 horses and 5 cattle. Original owner L. Job*My Note: Mary is widow of Logan Job, and John S(teven) is their oldest son. In 1848, he would have been 21-22.
