He married Amand Rebecca Fisher 02 Nov 1866 in Jamestown, Moniteau County Missouri. To this union eight children were born. Jacob died 03 Feb 1892. Amanda died 13 Sep 1919. They are buried in Old Salem Cemetery, Moniteau Co., Missouri
