John, s/o John Alexander Copple, Sr. and Sarah Ann Jobe, gs/o Edward Jobe and Isabelle Fincher and gr gs/o James M. Jobe and Margaret Stone. He was born March 3, 1881 in Sedan Chautauqua Co., Kansas his father died three months before he was born of pneumonia. He married Lena Myrtle Downs. January 14, 1904, Sedan, Ks. To this union 5 girls were born. John was always a business man in Sedan and own and operated his own restaurant for many years on main street. It was called "Copple Cafe". John died October 12, 1946. in Sedan and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
