John Byron was born August 3, 1858 Washington Co., Iowa and died February 20, 1923 Longdale, Blaine Co., Oklahoma. He married Penelope Izora 'Kate' Oliver January 15, 1881.

- Daughters of John Bryon Jurey and Penelope Izora 'Kate' Oliver - Inez Jurey, is girl 2nd from the right was, b. 1883, and the one at the far left is Jessie Jurey, b. 1888. They are the daughters of John Byron Jurey. James J. Jurey had 5 daughters. Hattie Elnora, b. 1880,Myrtle Iona, b. 1882, Florence Olive, b. 1885, Celia M.. b. 1887 Ethel Maude, b. 1889 In a letter from Opal Aden (granddaughter of William), she stated that the baby was, May. I'm not sure which brother she belonged to. (I think that it was William)They all lived in Washington Co., Kansas so I assume that is where the picture was taken, and my best guess as to when is about 1892 or 1893.

- Jurey Plot at Londale Cemetery in Blaine Co., OK - John, Penelope and John L. seem to be buried in a large family plot with Lewis Oliver and his wife. They are buied in rown one and two about half way up from the front of the cemetery nearest the rood on the far west wne. There are large cedar trees all around shading the area.
