Jobe School - Muskogee, Oklahoma - taken in 1961. It was northeast of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Sitting in front is Louis Emmett Jobe - father of Lois(Jobe) Cunningham. (He was s/o William Vergil Jobe and Mary Elizabeth Douthitt and gs/o William Pryor Jobe and Elizabeth McRoy and gt gs/o Nathan Jobe and Martha Azbell. The children of Louis N.B. Jobe, Jerome F. Jobe and Thomas Lee Jobe and K. J. (Jobe)Lawrence all attended school here. This is also where Pearl (Jobe) Green (Lois's sister)taught her first school.

Lewis Emitt Jobe and Mary Elizabeth'Lizzie' (Roy) - married Dec 9, 1894 Cincinnati, Washington Co, Arkansas. He was s/o William Vergil Jobe and Mary Elizabeth Douthitt and gs/o William Pryor Jobe and Elizabeth Ann McRoy and gt gs/o Nathaniel 'Nathan' Jobe and Martha Ann Azbell. These are the parents of Lois (Jobe) Cunningham - a very good friend of mind and genealogist. They are buried at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee,Oklahoma. Submitted by Ann (Jobe) Brown

**Daughter of Lewis and Lizzie
----Lois (Jobe) Cunningham - taken about 1924, her high school graduation. She was d/o Louis Emmett Jobe and Mary Elizabeth Roy and gd/o William Vergil Jobe. Lois was born August 19, 1907 at Fletcher, Comanche Co.,Oklahoma and died in Dallas, Texas about 1982. I met her and her daughter about 1970 and we became very close friend. We both loved poetry. She did a lot of transcribing of records from the Dallas library for me and also many records from the Ft. Worth and Dallas courthouse. She was a true friend!
