Luther was born about December 1875 Arkansas and died sometime after 1907. He has been a real mystery and went by the last names of Jobe and Birtle. He has children who used both names. It is known that he married at least twice -Minnie Kate Bennett on August 7, 1894 Faulkner Co., Arkansas and Docie Sherwood about 1900. He left both of these women when they were pregant with their second child.
