Philip Edward Copple was born December 14, 1870 in Chautauqua County Kansas to John Alexander Copple and Sarah Ann Jobe. He married Nettie Jane Taylor September 27, 1889 in Sedan, Chautauqua Co., Kansas. To this union 6 children were born, three dying when young. Philip died September 20, 1946 in Independence, Montgomery Co., Kansas and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Sedan, Ks.
