- James Jobe (1834-1914) - the son of Elisha Jobe and Elizabeth Williams, brother to Joseph W. Jobe (our ggfather) He married Susan Jane Holt. Their children were: Louann Jobe who married Rev. Joseph Newton, Minerva E. Jobe, Maria/Mariah Jobe, John Scott Jobe who married Phileneah Walker, Elisha Leroy Jobe (he shot a man in a fight over a coon dog) also the Father of Dewey Jobe of Newtown, MO. You probably have this information, but in case you don't have all of it, this is what I have According to Max's Aunt Wilma, their family didn't have anything to do the the James Jobe Family, who she said lived in the Newtown area.
