----William Leonard 'Bill' Jobe Jr. - born Dec 24, 1919 at Sulphur, Murray Co., Oklahoma and died May 25, 1997 in Studio City, California. He was the s/o William Leonard Jobe Sr. and Mae Elizabeth Pearson and gs/o John Lafayette Jobe and Mae Thomas and gt gs/o Hugh Jobe and Sarah Elizabeth Johnston and gt gt gs/o Daniel Jobe and Elizabeth Cheek and gt gt gt gs/o John Jobe and Sarah Farmer. Bill is best remembered for the Jobe Journal which he started around 1986. His first work at this time was a fictional 29 page story called 'Job in America'. Though most was based upon fact and a lot of historical data was added, the actual work did contain a lot of conjecture. But while writing this story, he realized that he wanted to know the truth and to put all the Jobe information into a time journal that would survive time. And succeed - he did! It was the summer of 1989, when I was visiting Texas, that Bill and I finally got to meet. Bill flew to Texas from California and asked if he could photocopy my files, 4 big binders, which he did. It was on this visit that he gave me this passport picture of him. We have a whole new group of researchers and I have a new group of friends!! Our work came alive in the Journal and it is still living and will continue to ECHO through the BOOK OF JOBE, JOBE LEGACY, and Freida's many pages, such as this one, and others who have now joined the search!!
