Abraham was born between 1790 and 1800 in TN and died between 1846 and March 17 1848 in Moniteau Co., Missouri. He married Margaret Yewes Oct 13, 1822 in Cooper Co., MO.
*Note from Alan Sparks
Attached are the scans of the 1848 Moniteau County, Missouri tax list of the Job's. I had them copied at the courthouse in California yesterday. Interestingly, it is spelled Job on the list. The file labeled 1848moniteautax-pg2 has the column headings at the top to explain what each one means. The copy of the other page (which actually was the first page copied from the book & the Job's were at the bottom of the page) did not get the column headings.
Margarett Job with 190 acres, 4 horses and 8 cattle. Original owner M. Job, A Job and L.L. Wood*Explanation from Alan Sparks
L.L. Wood is credited with starting the first business in the town of California. He had a farm northwest of the site of Boonsborough which was about a mile east of where the courthouse in California now stands. In other words, it would have been north of California where Job(e)'s were known to have settled.*My Note: Margaret is widow of Abraham.
