    I William Henry Sidwell ~ of the borough of Oxford in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

    And first, I direct that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

    As to such estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, viz.:

    Item -- All my Estate, both real and personal or (?Mixed) of any character, or wherever situated at the time of my death, I devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Mary R. Sidwell, during her Natural life.

    Item -- I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Orion L. Taylor of the Ninth Electional District of Cecil County, in the State of Maryland, the right and power to remain on the property, Whereon he now resides, and to Cultivate and farm the same for my Wife the said Mary R. Sidwell, on Equal Shares each one to pay one half of all the expenses that may be necessary to Keep the said farm and building in good condition

    Item -- I devise and bequeath unto my Nephew the aforesaid Orion L. Taylor all my property both real and personal after the death of my wife the said Mary R. Sidwell, but if my Nephew said Orion L. taylor should die before my Wife said Mary R. Sidwell, then said Taylor's Wife Mary W. Taylor to take his place, then after the death of my Wife Mary R. Sidwell and after death of Orion L. Taylor and his Wife Mary W. Taylor, all the above mentioned Estate to be divided equally among the children of Nephew Orion L. Taylor. Howard S. Taylor and Sarah E. Taylor or to the survivor or any more children that may be born to Orion L. and Mary W. Taylor

    And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint My wife the said Mary R. Sidwell, and my Nephew the said Orion L. Taylor to be the Executors of this my last will and testament. Should Orion L. Taylor die before my wife, then his wife Mary W. Taylor to take his place.

    IN WITNESS WHEREOFF, I William Henry Sidwell the Testator, have to this, my will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal, this thirtieth day of September A.D. One thousand Nine Hundred abd Sixteen, (1916)

    Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above-named William Henry Sidwell as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto, in the presence of the said Testator, and of each other.

    Then came Mary R. Sidwell and Orion L. Taylor, Executors name in the foregoing instrument of writing, and made oath in due form of law, that the same is the true and whole last Will and Testament of William Henry Sidwell late of Cecil County, deceased, that hath come to their knowledge and possession; that due publication of the contents thereof hath been made, and that they know of none other or any reason why the probate thereof should not be taken

  5. Witnesses Testimony 2 and Acceptance into Probate

    Cecil County, ss: Aug. 28th. 1919

    Then came John J. Johnson, Douglas E. Brinton and D. A. Stubbs, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing, and severally made oath in due form of law, that they did see Wm. Henry Sidwell, the testator therein named, sign and seal the same; that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament, and at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension and belief of a sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding; that they severally subscribed their names as witnesses thereto, in the presence, at the request, of said testator and in the presence of each other.

    In the Orphans' Court of Cecil County:

    The Register of Wills after having carefully examined the above last Will and Testament of William Henry Sidwell, late of Cecil County, deceased, and also the evidence adduced as to its validity, Orders and Decrees, this 28th day of August, A.D. 1919. that the same be admitted to probate in this Court as the true and genuine last Will and Testament of the said William Henry Sidwell, deceased.
