    Administrator's Statement

    STATE OF MARYLAND,
    CECIL COUNTY, ss: Sept 17th 1895

    Then came Robert N. Griffith
    Oxford Pa administrator of William K. Griffith late of Cecil county, Maryland deceased, and made oath in due form of law that he would well and truly administer the goods, chattels, personal estate, and credits of said deceased, to the best of his knowledge, according to law, and give a just account of his administration, when thereunto lawfully called; also, that he would diligently and faithfully regard, and well and truly comply with the laws of Maryland, imposing a tax on commissions allowed to executors and administrators, and a tax on collateral interitances, distributive shares and legacies.

  2. Probate of William K. Griffith
    Petition of Administrator

    In the Orphans Court of Cecil County.

    In the matter of the estate of William K. Griffith, Deceased.

    To the Honorable, The Judges of the Orphans Court.

    The petition of Robert N. Griffith, administrator of William K. Griffith, deceased, unto the Court, respectfully shows:

    That the said William K. Griffith in his life time requested a railing to be put around the lot in the Rose Bank Cemetery in Cecil County, belonging to the said William K. Griffith, and also a tomb-stone to his grave, similar to that at the grave of his deceased wife.

    That the cost of said tom-stone and railing will be about Seventy-five dollars, but your petitioner is advised that some of the persons interested in said estate, object to said expenditure.

    Your petitioner, therefore, prays for an order of this Court authorizing him to expend the sum of Seventy-five dollars in providing said railing for said lot, and tomb-stone for said deceased.

    Order for tombstone and railing

    ORDERED, by the Orphans' Court of Cecil County, this 10th day of December, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-five, that Robert N. Griffith, Administrator of William K. Griffith be, and he is hereby authorized to expend the sum of Seventy-five dollars in providing a tomb-stone for said deceased and a railing around the lot in Rose Bank Cemetery.

In Testimony whereof we hereunto subscribe our names and affix our Seals this twenty third day of Dec 1895.
