Daniel Wilgus was born in Clinton, Ohio, June 11th 1828 and died in Omaha, Nebr., Sept.8, 1911 aged 83 years, 2 months and 27 days. He was married to Angeline Padgett in Indiana May 9, 1855. Eight children were born to them, five are living. There are eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. Mr. Wilgus was one of the old settlers of south Grundy county and was well known throughout this end of the county. The body was brought to Beaman for burial in the Cemetery east of town. Rev. A. L. Rucker conducted the funeral +Services in the M.E. church.
