This is the quilt that my mother and grandmother worked on together. A close-up view of a block made by Grandma Puckett can be seen on her site.
Note on this quilt said:"This is the first big quilt that I (Mary Alice) made. It was quilted by Deloris and Sue. 1975."
Deloris and Sue is my Dad's sister and niece. Some of the material that is in it is some my grandmother had.
This quilt, made by Mary Alice, for her grandson, shows 12 different quilt blocks, all depicting items or events that must have meant a great deal to this young boy. I could just picture him looking at these blocks and 'daydreaming' about all theh wonderful times that each block must have brought back.
Date of quilt top 1991, finished and quilted 2003 for the Wells 50th Family Reunion, Osage Hills State Park, OK.
