Story Behind the Photos
Barbara Walker DeVault has the two of Amanda and Henry M in her home and her dad Elmer told her to keep the pictures in the frames.Marilyn Hunt Chambers had the John Thomas Walker as a baby in her possession with the same frame. So I am saying the pictures were all made about 1870.
So neat to have the exact same frames and way back then. Marilyn great granddaughter of Henry and Amanda and granddaughter of John Thomas Walker and daughter of Mary Walker Hunt. Marilyn passed away last November 2008. I got to know Marilyn in 2008 and we exchanged lots of pictures of Walkers, Martins and Hunts. I miss her.

"Route 12After some delay I will try to give a few items from the north corner.
Death came last Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, and took away from our community, Mrs. Jane Walker, consort of Lieutenant Henry M. Walker.
She had been confined to her bed some little time before her death with cancer.
In her death the family lost a faithful wife, a loving mother and the community a kind and obliging neighbor.
She said she was ready for the change and willing to go. Mrs. Walker was in her 64th year.
She leaves a husband, eight children, one brother, Jacob Bacon, Sr., and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss."
