Rehobeth Cemetery has suffered much abuse and neglect. Over one-third of the stones have been knocked down and/or broken and unreadable. This includes the stone for our Jobe Cousins - J. W. Jobe and Nancy Matilda (Copass) Jobe. It is very overgrown. This shows how important it is to photography our cousin's memorials - NOW. Solemn thought - but omorrow, they may not be there. It can survive over 80 years with next to no damage and then suddenly be hit by vandals or a storm.
Randy Jobe and his father visited the cemetery in the summer of 2009 and it is in MUCH WORSE shape than it was three years earlier. It is a real shame to see a cemetery in this shape.
Be sure and compare Randy's photos with the ones on Find a Grave Site - taken in 2006/2007.
