"ED PUCKETT BUYS PAINT & WALL PAPER STORE.
A deal was completed this week whereby Ed Puckett becomes sole owner of the Wagoner Decorating Company Store and the stock of wall paper and paints and other accessories that accompany that line. For purpose of a name, Mr. Puckett will call the business Puckett Decorating Company. He says his wife is the "Company" part of the firm. The store was established here by Mr. Wagoner of Independence and Mr. Puckett placed in charge. During the year and a half it has done a very satisfactory volume of business. It will be conducted in the future along the same lines it has in the past. The only difference being its sole ownership and control by Mr. Puckett."

(Note from Freida: The store was run by Mary while Ed did the work. They didn't have the store very long as the stock market fell and the depression hit.)
