Many times throughout history, our family has made the news. These exerpts will recollect some of these events which help to make our Jobe ancestor's lifes and the times in which they lived seem real to us. The articles are grouped by states (in alphabetical order), then by county and by chronological date.

"The police were putting people in Sheriff Dave Jobe’s jail so fast last night that they "booked" one man twice and caused much confusion this moring when Jobe counted 30 prisoners and found 31 names on the ledger.

The mistake was cleared up however, when officers explained that they had booked one man as John doe when he refused to give his name. Later police found his name in his wallet, so they wrote that name down on the ledger and forgot to remove the "John doe" from the book."
