" before me W. G. Boyd a Justice of the Peace and Exofficio Notary Public in McCclennan Co.,, Texas, personally appeared B. F. Leeper known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing and acknowledged to me that he had signed the same for all the purposes and consideration therein sated [sic] also personally appeared before me S. J. Leeper wife of the said B. F. Leeper known to me and being by me determined privily and apart from her said husband and having said deed fully explained to her she the said S. J. Leeper acknowledged to me that she had willingly signed said deed for all the purposes and consideration therein expressed, and that she wished not to retract it. Witness my hand and seal of office this the 10 day of September A.D. 1884.
