There has been some speculation regarding the parentage of Susan, Jennie and Martha. Some list them as sisters, others as children and still others as nieces.

Some researchers have Daniel Jobe living to the age of 104 and others have 113. Either way, he had a rich and adventurous long life

Background:
By occupation, Daniel Jobe was a cooper (make of caskets and barrels). This caused him to travel widely over Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Mississippi. Daniel was a birthright-Quaker, became a Baptist and later a Methodist. Family legend also says that Daniel served in the RW though no official records have been found that he actually enlisted.

From Bill Jobe Journal:
"Daniel Jobe and his wife, Polly (Pryor) Job loved animals. Their love of horses had brought them together and remained one of their passions. Polly was an expert horsewoman. They spent their lives in different parts of Tennessee working as practical veterinarians. They were expert in whelping, curing farm animals of hallow-tail and hallow-born."
