HUNNICUTT~COLLINS TROTH IS PLIGHTED

Miss Pauline Collins Becomes Bride of Cecil Hunnicutt

Miss Pauline Collins, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. F.N. Collins, of 53 Allen Place, and Cecil C. Hunnicutt, son of Mr. And Mrs. Homer Hunnicut of Long Beach, were united in marriage at an impressive ceremony solemnized at 8 o’clock last evening at the home of the bride’s grandparents Mr. And Mrs. John W. Covert, 1026 East Eighth Street.

The vows were exchanged before a screen of greenery and flowers with candelabra on either side, the couple standing beneath a bower of lilies. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. W. A. Matson of Livingston, a cousin of the bride.

Preceding the ceremony Mrs. W. A. Matson sang "O Perfect Love" and "Because," accompanied by Mrs. Ted Stilman, who later played Lohengrin’s wedding march at the approach of the bridal party.

Miss Lela Hunnicutt, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor wearing a frock of pale pink georgette. About her head she wore a silver wreath and carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas and delphinium. The Misses Katherine and Vera Collins, sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids, wearing gowns of blue and pink taffeta, with silver bandeaus about their hair. Their flowers were pink sweet peas and delphinium.

Olive and Barbara Bryant, in frocks of pink and yellow, were flower girls, while little Billy Collins, a cousin of the bride, in a white suit, carried the wedding on a silver tray.

Francis Stanton of Los Angeles served Mr. Hunnicutt, as best man, while the ushers were Ben Anderson, of Loma Linda and Ted Stillman.

The bride wore a wedding gown of white georgette, made with uneven hemline. Her long tulle veil was caught about her head in a bandeau of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of bride’s roses and baby breath.

After the exchange of vows, the couple received the congratulations of their friends, after which refreshments were served with Miss Nanesther Boley in charge, assisted by Mrs. Gayle Lackey, Mrs. Boley, Miss Pauline Smith, Miss Rosalind Gregory and Miss Alice Collins.

Later the couple left for a short stay at Forest Home, after which they will motor to Yosemite to continue their honeymoon. They will make their home in Riverside.

The bride is a graduate of the local high school with the class of 1923, after which she attended junior college, later continuing her college course at the University of Los Angeles.

The bridegroom was graduated from the Long Beach high school in 1923, and later took a three-year pre-medical course at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is now a sophomore in the medical college at Loma Linda, where he will continue his studies in the fall.
