Background Information
Mary was only 5 years old when her parents moved to Marion Co., Arkansas. She married David James Faulkenberry about 1869. This family left Arkansas in 1905.Davey, as he was known, died April 1925 at Paducah, Cottle Co., Texas and is buried at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Paducah. Mary died in 1939 at Atoka, OK and is buried at the Bera Cemetery, very near where her son son, John Franklin lived in Jan 1972.
Mary would live 30 more years after this picture was taken - passing away in 1939 just before she would have been 90.

Special Thanks
Must first thank John Franklin Faulkenberry and his wife, s/o Mary Ann (Mears), who I visited with in Jan 1972. He really treated us like family. John was a very quiet Christian man, who loved his familyl and would quickly take you to visit his mother's grave. Some information also came from James C. Faulkenberry Jr in 1977.
White shirt is unknown (could this be Col. Clifton Mears?), John is the one the in dark jacket, Hollie (white plaid shirt) and the one on the right in dark plaid shirt is Tom Faulkenberry.
Holly James Faulkenberry on the left, his son, James Clarence Faulkenberry, on the right and his son James Clarence Faulkenberry, Jr. in the middle. Photo most likely taken in the early 50’s at my grandfathers’ house in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
