Additional Information :For many years I was unable to find Henry BLOOR (my great grandfather) on the 1851 or 1861 census (he is living in Dale Abbey in 1871), but I was convinced that he belonged to this family as I have his father's name on the marriage certificate, plus birth certificates for William and Hannah which have the same parents names as are on Henry's birth certificate. I know he was born in Ilkeston from the 1871 census, and there are no other Henry Bloors in the GRO birth indexes who fit the bill. I therefore assumed that he was living away from home on those two occasions, and in September 1999 I finally found him - living at Ockbrook with his grandparents Samuel and Hannah TAYLOR. Whether or not he was brought up by them or just happened to be visiting on the two census dates is an open question.
