STANLEY GRANGE

STANLEY GRANGE

(Photographs supplied by Simon Hollingworth and Roger Bailey)

Stanley Grange is situated close to the border of the three parishes of Stanley, Dale Abbey and West Hallam. Historically it has connections to the Draycott, Hollingworth and Canner families. Simon Hollingworth, who took the colour photographs below, and who is descended from the Draycotts and Hollingworths of Stanley Grange, has researched the history of the building. His account can be found in the "Miscellany" section of this site. The black and white photographs were taken in the 1920s, and were supplied by Roger Bailey, grandson of the tenant of that time, William Bailey.
