| FAMILY HISTORY INTERESTS | My interest in tracing my family tree began as a child, but I didn't do much about it until I was in my early 20's. Living in Southampton at the time, I would take the train to London and search St Catherine's House and the PRO at Kew. Later on I visited Derbyshire churches and looked through Parish Registers in the vestries (something you can't do nowadays). Then, having got back as far as I could, the project was put to one side for about 15 years. Then I bought a computer and discovered all the resources on the Internet. I was soon in touch with people who were tracing the same families as me, and my interest was reawakened. This website is an attempt to document what I know in the hope that it will be of use to others (and perhaps turn up a few more distant cousins). |
